Coming from a family where he'd always been looked after by doting older siblings, it certainly came as a surprise when Yuuta announced his decision to take Education in college and ultimately put his time and effort into shaping children's minds. After all, one would have thought that he would prefer a career in something less self-sacrificing. From a bystander's perspective, indeed, he really didn't look the part what with his usual frown, the scratches on his face, and his gruff tone. In truth, however, if asked, his response would be immediate.
The fact was that Yuuta adored children. And as much as his siblings had been an influence on him (though he wouldn't normally admit so), he in turn felt the desire to be an inspiration for others, if even for a few. The number of people isn't the most important factor, but what you teach them and what you leave to them for their own decisions in future. This was part of the philosophy he lived by.
So far, he'd only had a year of experience in actual teaching, tracing his steps back to summer camps and counseling. To be working in an actual permanent institute, he knew, would be quite the challenge. But it was, he believed, one worth taking regardless.
There are some things only you can do, Yuuta. All you have to do is take that one step forward.
Indeed, there were more lessons to be learned and interesting people to learn them from.
